Update Coming From Raiders Tight End

Darren Waller to Make Announcement on Hamstring Injury

Update Coming from Raiders Tight End

Las Vegas, Nevada - September 7, 2022

Raiders tight end Darren Waller is scheduled to speak to the media on Wednesday to provide an update on his hamstring injury. Waller was injured in the first half of the Raiders' season-opening game against the Chargers and did not return to the game. The injury has kept Waller out of practice all week, and his status for Sunday's game against the Cardinals is uncertain.

Waller is a key part of the Raiders' offense, and his absence would be a major blow. The 29-year-old had 55 catches for 665 yards and two touchdowns last season. He is one of the most dangerous pass-catching tight ends in the NFL, and his ability to stretch the field and make big plays is a major asset for the Raiders.

The Raiders are hoping that Waller will be able to play on Sunday, but they are prepared to be without him if necessary. If Waller is unable to play, the Raiders will likely turn to Foster Moreau as their starting tight end. Moreau is a solid player, but he is not the same caliber of player as Waller.

The Raiders are coming off a tough loss to the Chargers in their season opener. They will be looking to rebound against the Cardinals on Sunday. Kickoff is set for 1:05 p.m. ET.
