Morata on the Verge of Joining AC Milan
AC Milan are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Alvaro Morata from Juventus.
The Rossoneri are said to be prepared to trigger the striker's €13 million release clause, according to transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio.
Morata has been linked with a move to Milan for several weeks, and the Spanish international has now reportedly given the green light to the deal. The 26-year-old is said to be keen on a return to Italy, where he previously played for Juventus and Real Madrid.
Milan are in need of a new striker, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic's future uncertain. The Swedish veteran is out of contract at the end of the season, and it is unclear whether he will sign a new deal.
Morata would be a good replacement for Ibrahimovic. He is a proven goalscorer, and he has experience playing at the highest level. He would also be a good fit for Milan's style of play.
If Milan can complete the signing of Morata, it would be a major coup for the club. He is a quality player who could help them challenge for the Serie A title next season.
