Military Ranks: A Ladder of Leadership
Rank Matters
The military is a hierarchy, a ladder of rank and responsibility. Each rung on the ladder represents a different level of authority, responsibility, and experience.
Understanding Army Ranks
In the military, there are three main types of rank: enlisted ranks, officer ranks, and warrant officer ranks. Enlisted ranks are the lowest level of rank and are typically held by soldiers who have not yet completed their initial training. Officer ranks are held by soldiers who have completed their initial training and have been commissioned as officers. Warrant officer ranks are held by soldiers who have specialized technical skills and expertise.
